YouTube

Watch and share videos

YouTube is a video app for watching clips, music, lessons, news, entertainment and other user-posted content. It also suits people who publish videos: creators can manage and share their work through the platform. The app is developed by Google LLC and is listed in the Video Players & Editors category.

Find videos and follow channels

Use search to look for a particular video or topic, or browse recommendations to discover something new. Subscribing to channels makes it easier to keep up with their uploads. You can also use your account to access viewing activity and subscriptions across supported devices, including phones, tablets and TVs.

Take part in the community

Comments let viewers respond to videos and join conversations. Live streams add real-time viewing and chat, while creators can upload videos from the app. The range of content means YouTube can serve different needs, from following a favourite channel to looking up a practical demonstration.
