Video Downloader

Save online videos for later

Video Downloader is an Android app for finding and saving videos while browsing, so you can keep media on your device for offline viewing. It suits people who regularly watch web videos and want a straightforward way to manage saved files, rather than a full video-editing suite. The app is published by InShot Inc. and is listed in the Video Players & Editors category.

Browsing and downloads

The app includes a built-in browser that can detect downloadable media on supported pages. When a video is available, you can start a download from within the app instead of copying a link into a separate tool. Its download manager supports pausing and resuming transfers, and lets you handle more than one download at a time. Progress tracking helps you see what is still in progress.

Files and privacy

Video Downloader supports several media formats, including MP4, M4A, MOV and AVI, as well as some document types such as PDF and XLS. It also offers a password-protected folder for files you want to keep separate from the rest of your saved media. What can be downloaded depends on the page and its permissions; the app is not a way around restrictions set by a website or content owner.

Popularity and current details

The app has more than 100 million installs and a rating of 4.74 from about 2.57 million reviews, indicating a large audience and substantial user feedback. Ratings, descriptions and features can change as the developer updates the app. For the latest listing details, check its live Google Play page.
