Waze Navigation & Live Traffic

Navigation shaped by live road conditions

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic provides turn-by-turn driving directions and uses current traffic information to help choose routes. It suits commuters and other drivers who want more than a static map, especially when congestion, accidents or road closures could affect a trip.

As conditions change, Waze can suggest a different route and update the estimated arrival time. Drivers can also see reports from other people on the road, including hazards and incidents, to help them make informed decisions along the way.

Reports from the driving community

Waze relies on driver-submitted information as well as traffic data. Reports can flag events such as crashes, potholes, hazards and police presence. These updates make the map useful for checking what may be happening ahead, though reports depend on what users share and may not cover every road or event.

The app is focused on getting drivers to a destination, rather than serving as a general-purpose map for every kind of travel. Its live updates are most relevant to people who drive regularly and want route guidance that responds to changing conditions.
