Google Maps

Navigation and local search in one app

Google Maps helps people plan routes, navigate to destinations and find places nearby. It suits drivers, walkers, cyclists and public-transport users, as well as anyone looking up a business or checking an area before visiting. The listing identifies Google LLC as the developer. Google Maps is in the Travel & Local category and has more than 10 billion installs.

Routes, traffic and transit

Search for a destination to see route options and get turn-by-turn directions. The app supports driving, walking, cycling and public transport, with traffic information that can affect driving routes. Transit details can help when comparing a journey by bus or train with other ways to get there.

Explore places before you go

Maps can help you find businesses and other points of interest, then review available details such as ratings and opening information. Street View and map imagery offer a closer look at some locations, which can be useful when checking the surrounding area or getting familiar with a destination. Offline maps are also available for areas saved ahead of time, for use when a data connection is unavailable.
