Google Home

Control a connected home

Google Home brings compatible smart home devices together in one Android app. Use it to check device status and manage connected lights, speakers, cameras and other supported equipment from a central place. It suits people who use Google Home devices or want one app for controlling compatible products around the house.

Devices and routines in one place

The app organizes devices by home and room, with controls for common actions and access to device settings. You can set up automations for supported devices, such as actions that run at a chosen time or in response to a trigger. What you can control depends on the devices you own and the features available for them.

For Google Nest cameras, the app can show camera feeds and recorded activity where supported. It also works with Chromecast and other compatible Google devices, making it useful for managing both home controls and connected entertainment equipment.

Who it’s for

Google Home is most useful when your home includes compatible Google or third-party smart devices. It can provide a shared view of those products without switching between separate control apps, though some settings and features vary by device and region.
